How to catch AI mistakes (without being an expert)

AI sounds confident even when it's wrong. You don't need expertise to protect yourself — you need three habits.

1) Ask "how sure are you, and what would change your answer?" — uncertainty it was hiding tends to surface. 2) For facts that matter — prices, laws, medical anything, dates — ask for sources and actually click one. 3) For big decisions, ask for the argument AGAINST its own recommendation.

And keep the stakes rule: AI for drafts and thinking, professionals for legal, tax, medical, and money calls. Every one of our prompts in those areas says the same thing.

Try it today: next time an AI states a fact you care about, reply "source?" and see what happens.
